Product Specific Information

  • Detects endogenous HLA-DRB3 protein at approximately 30 kDa.
  • Purity >95% by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules presented to CD4+ helper T cells are regulated by two key events: dissociation of class II-associated invariant chain peptides (CLIP) via HLA-DM and -DO, and subsequent peptide antigen binding. These molecules accumulate in endosomal/lysosomal compartments and on B cell surfaces, facilitating peptide exchange for HLA-DR, -DQ, and -DP.
RFLP analysis of HLA-DM genes suggests certain polymorphisms may contribute to rheumatoid arthritis susceptibility.
HLA-B, a class I heavy chain paralog, plays a central role in immune response by presenting peptides derived from the endoplasmic reticulum. HLA-B and -C form heterodimers with β2-Microglobulin, and polymorphisms produce numerous alleles.
HLA and MHC antibodies are important in immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via LC-MS/MS.
