Target Information
Lyn proto oncogene (Lcl/Yes related novel protein tyrosine kinase) is encoded by the Lyn gene located on chromosome 8 in humans and belongs to the Src family kinase. It is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that acts as a mediator in cellular signaling transduction.
Lyn is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cell types, including lymphoid and myeloid cells, but is excluded from T lymphocytes. It plays diverse roles in regulating B cell receptor signaling, mast cell signaling, and Epithelial–Mesenchymal Transition (EMT).
