Target Information

PKN2 (PRK2), a close relative of the PKCs, regulates mitosis and cytokinesis exit. It plays roles in cell cycle progression, actin cytoskeleton assembly, cell migration, adhesion, tumor cell invasion, and transcription activation signaling.
Phosphorylates CTTN in hyaluronan-induced astrocytes, decreasing its ability to associate with filamentous actin.
Phosphorylates HDAC5, impairing its import.
Acts as a direct RhoA target required for maturation of junctions in bronchial epithelial cells.
Essential for G2/M phase progression and cytokinesis in an ECT2-dependent manner.
Stimulates FYN kinase activity for skin cell-cell adhesion during keratinocyte differentiation.
Regulates bladder epithelial cell movement and inhibits Akt pro-survival kinase activity.
Mediates Rho protein-induced transcriptional activation via c-fos SRF.
Phosphorylates HCV NS5B, stimulating HCV RNA replication.
