Target Information
PTPRD is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, known to regulate various cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation.
This receptor-type PTP contains an extracellular region, a single transmembrane segment, and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains.
The extracellular region consists of three Ig-like and eight fibronectin type III-like domains.
Studies in chicken and fly suggest that PTPRD promotes neurite growth and regulates neuronal axon guidance.
