Target Information
Membrane-associated guanylate kinase with inverted orientation (MAGI3) is a 130 kDa guanylate kinase belonging to a family of multi-PDZ domain-containing kinases localized at epithelial cell tight junctions.
MAGI3 cooperates with PTEN/MMAC to modulate AKT/PKB kinase activity, positioning PTEN/MMAC phosphatase at subcellular sites involved in cell proliferation and survival regulation.
This protein family typically includes an N-terminal guanylate kinase domain, a WW domain containing two conserved tryptophan residues (first identified in mouse YAP65), followed by five PDZ domains.
