Product Specific Information
M230B targets RANTES in ELISA and WB applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is recombinant human RANTES, and M230B detects RANTES with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 8 kDa.
The biotinylated antibody M230B (clone VL-1) has been successfully used as the detection antibody in sandwich ELISA with polyclonal capture antibody P230E.
Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include:
- 1 µg/mL for coating
- 0.125–0.25 µg/mL for detection
Biotinylated antibody M230B (clone VL-1) and antibody P230E have been used in combination with recombinant RANTES protein SRNTS in ELISA applications.
Target Information
CCL5 (RANTES) is a chemokine gene located on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes.
CCL5 belongs to the CC subfamily and functions as a chemoattractant for blood monocytes, memory T helper cells, and eosinophils.
It induces histamine release from basophils and activates eosinophils.
CCL5 is one of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ cells and acts as a natural ligand for CCR5, suppressing replication of HIV-1 R5 strains.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
Diseases associated with CCL5 include Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 and Periapical Granuloma.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
