This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

This gene is part of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes.
The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide.

CCL23, a member of the CC subfamily:

• Displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes and monocytes
• Shows lower activity on neutrophils and no activity on activated T lymphocytes
• Acts as a strong suppressor of colony formation by multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells
• Functions as a potent agonist of chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 1

Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
