This antibody has specificity for Human CCL23/MIP 3.
Target Information
The CCL23 gene is part of a chemokine gene cluster on chromosome 17q. Chemokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes, divided into four subfamilies based on N-terminal cysteine arrangements.
CCL23, a CC subfamily member, exhibits chemotactic activity for resting T lymphocytes and monocytes, lower activity on neutrophils, and no activity on activated T lymphocytes. It also suppresses colony formation by multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells and acts as an agonist of the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 1.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
