Target Information
YY1 (Yin and Yang 1) is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. It functions as both a repressor and activator of various promoters. YY1 can recruit histone deacetylases and histone acetyltransferases to promoter regions, linking histone modification to gene regulation.
