This antibody is expected to show broad species reactivity.

• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
  Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
• Western Blot: Use 1–2 µg/mL for 2 hours at room temperature.

Target Information

Cytokeratin pan is part of a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by remarkable biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins range in molecular weight between 40–68 kDa and have an isoelectric pH between 4.9–7.8.
The various epithelia in the human body express cytokeratins that are characteristic of the epithelium type and related to the degree of maturation or differentiation.

Cytokeratin subtype expression patterns are widely used in distinguishing different epithelial malignancies. These antibodies assist in the differential diagnosis of tumors via immunohistochemistry, and are also valuable tools in cytopathology and flow cytometry.
The composition of cytokeratin pairs varies with epithelial cell type, differentiation stage, growth environment, and disease state.
Keratins are widely used as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis.
