Himedia EZkill Mycoplasma Elimination Kit

EZkillTM Mycoplasma Elimination Kit is an antibiotic based elimination kit designed to eliminate mycoplasma from cell culture. Major effects of mycoplasma contamination include alteration in growth rate, induction of chromosomal and membrane aberrations and change in amino acid and nucleic acid metabolism. Attempts to eliminate mycoplasmas from contaminated cells should be considered only as a last resort. Ideally it is recommended to discard the contaminated culture after autoclaving. Only in cases where cell line is very important and non-replaceable, treatment for elimination should be considered. Antibiotic based method is the most common and effective method with no marked cytotoxicity.
