Product Specific Information
The SK7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and chimpanzee CD3e, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR complex. The epsilon chain, along with gamma and delta subunits, is essential for proper assembly, trafficking, and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and all mature T cells.
SK7 and UCHT1 antibodies cross-block binding, suggesting overlapping epitopes, whereas OKT3 and SK7 recognize distinct epitopes. The SK7 antibody recognizes chimpanzee CD3.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 395 (BUV395) emits at 395 nm and is suitable for cytometers equipped with a 355 nm UV laser. Confirm instrument compatibility before use.
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright™, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information
The CD3 subunit complex mediates antigen recognition signaling in T cells and regulates TCR surface expression. CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) have cytoplasmic tails that associate with signaling molecules via tyrosine-based motifs. CD3 is expressed on 68–82% of peripheral blood lymphocytes, 65–85% of thymocytes, and Purkinje cells, but not on B or NK cells. Mutations in CD3 genes are linked to CD3 immunodeficiency.
