Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The HBS1L gene encodes a member of the GTP-binding elongation factor family. It is expressed in multiple tissues, with the highest levels in heart and skeletal muscle.
The intergenic region between this gene and the MYB gene is a quantitative trait locus (QTL) influencing fetal hemoglobin levels and affecting erythrocyte, platelet, and monocyte counts as well as erythrocyte volume and hemoglobin content.
DNA polymorphisms in this region are associated with fetal hemoglobin levels and pain crises in sickle cell disease.
A single nucleotide polymorphism in exon 1 of this gene is significantly associated with disease severity in beta-thalassemia/Hemoglobin E.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms have been identified.
