Target Information
CD98 (4F2) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein serving as the heavy chain of heterodimeric amino acid transporters (HATs). It forms disulfide bonds with light chains for cell surface expression and basolateral localization in polarized epithelial cells. CD98 also interacts with β1 integrins, enhancing ligand affinity, and plays roles in cell fusion, activation, differentiation, growth, and apoptosis.
