Target Information
Transcriptional coactivator involved in neuroepithelial stem cell differentiation and neurogenesis. Plays a role in lens epithelial cell gene regulation and stress responses. Important for lens epithelial to fiber cell terminal differentiation and may protect against stress-induced apoptosis. Isoform 2 acts as a stronger transcriptional coactivator and may function as an adapter for pre-mRNA splicing. Serves as a cellular cofactor for lentiviral integration.
