Target Information
The ABCC4 (MRP4) protein belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily, responsible for transporting various molecules across cellular membranes. It is part of the MRP subfamily involved in multidrug resistance. Although its precise function is not fully determined, ABCC4 may contribute to cellular detoxification by acting as a pump for organic anions. Alternative splicing yields multiple isoforms.
