TLR3 (Toll-like receptor 3, CD283)는 병원체 인식 및 선천 면역 활성화에 핵심적인 역할을 하는 Toll-like receptor (TLR) 계열의 구성원입니다.
TLR3는 바이러스 감염과 관련된 dsRNA를 인식하며, NF-κB 및 type I interferon 생성 경로를 활성화합니다.
주로 태반과 췌장에서 발현되며, 수지상세포 하위집단에서 제한적으로 존재합니다.
인간 TLR 중 유일하게 MyD88 대신 TRIF를 이용하여 신호를 전달하며, IRF-3 및 NF-κB를 활성화하여 염증성 사이토카인 생성을 유도합니다.
TLR3는 Influenza A, West Nile Virus 등 바이러스 인식에 관여하며, 바이러스 방어에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
