Target Information
Fibromodulin is a small interstitial proteoglycan containing leucine-rich repeats and keratan sulfate chains. It interacts with type I and II collagen fibrils, participating in extracellular matrix assembly and inhibiting fibrillogenesis in vitro. It may also regulate TGF-beta activity by sequestering TGF-beta into the extracellular matrix.
