Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis involves the transfer of ubiquitin (Ub) to lysine residues of target proteins, marking them for degradation by the 26S proteasome. Ub-fusion degradation (UFD) pathway proteins, including UFD1L, regulate this process by recognizing specific Ub-conjugated substrates.
The human homolog UFD1L, originally identified in yeast, modulates degradation of Ub-fusion proteins with amino acid substitutions at the Gly76 site.
Mutations in the UFD1 gene are linked to CATCH22 syndrome, associated with cardiac defects, cleft palate, and hypocalcemia, suggesting its role in developmental processes.
