Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
EXD1 is an RNA-binding component of the PET complex, a multiprotein complex required for piRNA processing during spermatogenesis.
The piRNA metabolic process represses transposable elements during meiosis by forming complexes with Piwi proteins, ensuring germline integrity.
The PET complex is necessary for PIWIL2 slicing-triggered loading of PIWIL4 piRNAs. In this complex, EXD1 likely acts as an RNA adapter and is considered an inactive exonuclease.
