이 항체의 면역원은 인간 Tubulin Beta의 아미노산 416–430에서 유래한 합성 펩타이드입니다.
Target Information
Beta tubulin은 α-tubulin과 함께 미세소관(microtubule)을 구성하는 두 가지 핵심 단백질 패밀리 중 하나입니다.
Beta-III tubulin은 주로 신경세포에서 발현되며, 신경 발생(neurogenesis), 축삭 유도(axon guidance), 유지 기능에 관여할 수 있습니다.
Beta tubulin 유전자의 돌연변이는 선천성 외안근 섬유증(type 3)의 원인이 됩니다.
또한, Beta-III tubulin은 고환의 Sertoli 세포 및 일시적으로 비신경성 배아 조직에서도 검출됩니다.
Tubulin은 세포 주기 동안 CDK1에 의해 Ser-172에서 인산화되며, 이는 미세소관 내 결합을 억제합니다.
미세소관은 진핵세포의 주요 세포골격 요소로, 염색체 분리, 세포 내 수송, 섬모 및 편모 운동, 세포 구조 유지 등에 핵심 역할을 합니다.
Beta-tubulin은 거의 모든 진핵세포에 보편적으로 존재하므로 Western blot 등의 단백질 검출 실험에서 로딩 컨트롤로 자주 사용됩니다.
