Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
After reconstitution, store at 4°C (protected from light) for up to 1 week.
For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g for 5 min).

Target Information

VRL-1 (TRPV2) is a calcium-permeable, non-selective cation channel with outward rectification, regulated in part by growth factors such as IGF1, PDGF, and morphogenetic neuropeptides.
Unlike TRPV1, VRL-1 does not respond to capsaicin, acid, or moderate heat but is activated by high temperatures (~52°C).
It is highly expressed in medium- to large-diameter sensory neurons and may function in high-threshold heat transduction.
VRL-1 expression is not limited to the sensory nervous system, suggesting activation by additional stimuli.
VRL-1 belongs to the vanilloid-like TRP-channel family, now classified as the TRPV family.
