Product Specific Information
- In Western blot, a band can be seen at ~65 kDa representing CHT and another at ~45 kDa after deglycosylation with PNGase F.
- Suggested positive control: antigen standard for SLC5A7 (transient overexpression lysate), rat striatum protein.
Target Information
Acetylcholine acts as a neurotransmitter in both central and peripheral nervous systems of vertebrates and is the principal neurotransmitter at the neuromuscular junction. Presynaptic synthesis of acetylcholine requires a steady supply of choline, acquired via a plasma membrane high-affinity choline transporter (CHT).
