Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes before staining.

Target Information

EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor)는 다양한 성장인자에 반응하는 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 여러 종류의 암에서 과발현되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 인간의 7번 염색체에 위치한 EGFR 유전자로부터 발현되며, HER/ERbB 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다 (ERbB2, ERbB3, ERbB4 포함). EGF 및 TGF-α 등의 리간드가 결합하면 이량체화(dimerization)와 세포질 도메인 내 티로신 잔기의 자가인산화가 일어나 신호전달이 활성화됩니다.
EGFR의 과발현은 두경부, 뇌, 방광, 위, 유방, 폐, 자궁내막, 자궁경부, 난소, 식도, 피부 등 다양한 암종에서 관찰됩니다.
