Target Information
Retinoid-related orphan receptor beta (RORβ)는 NR1 thyroid hormone receptor로서 중추신경계의 발달 및 기능(감각 입력 통합, 생체 리듬 조절 등)에 관여합니다.
마우스에서 RORβ가 결핍될 경우 운동실조, 망막 변성, 생체리듬 이상, 수컷 생식능 발달 지연 등의 현상이 나타납니다.
RORβ는 AnnTAGGTCA 서열을 포함하는 monomeric response element에 단일체로 결합합니다.
대체 스플라이싱된 isoform인 RORβ2는 송과선과 망막에서 주로 발현되며, 공통의 DNA 결합 및 리간드 결합 도메인을 가지지만 N-말단 도메인이 다릅니다.
RORβ 발현은 마우스 뇌의 여러 부위에서 확인되었습니다.
