• In direct ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human Siglec-2, -3, -5, -6, -7, -9, -10, -11, or recombinant mouse Siglec-F is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.

Target Information

CD22 (BL-CAM) is a type 1 integral membrane glycoprotein (130–140 kDa) expressed in both the cytoplasm and cell membrane of B-lymphocytes.
It appears early in B-cell differentiation, similar to CD19, and is expressed in mature B cells (CD22+) but not in plasma cells (CD22−).
CD22 is strongly expressed in hairy cell leukemia and can be used for phenotyping mature leukemias.
It binds preferentially to α2,6-linked sialic acid, with its recognition site potentially masked by cis interactions.
Upon ligand-induced tyrosine phosphorylation, CD22 regulates B-cell receptor signaling, acting both as a positive and inhibitory regulator through interactions with Src family kinases and cytoplasmic phosphatases.
CD22 is positive in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and nodular lymphocyte predominance Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but negative in classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
