Target Information
PDK1 (3-phosphoinositide dependent kinase-1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase localized to the plasma membrane. It plays a vital role in insulin-induced glycogen synthesis, PKC activation, and activation of the AGC subfamily of protein kinases. It is also involved in cellular responses to hypoxia and supports cell proliferation under hypoxic conditions. PDK1 protects cells against apoptosis in response to hypoxia and oxidative stress.
