Target Information
NCKX2 (solute carrier family 24, member 2; SLC24A2)는 칼륨 의존성 나트륨/칼슘 교환체 계열에 속하며, 두 개의 큰 친수성 루프와 다중 막관통 영역을 포함합니다.
NCKX2는 뇌 전반의 뉴런에서 발현되며, 특히 망막의 원뿔세포, 해마의 피라미드 세포, 소뇌의 심부핵에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
빛 적응 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 1 Ca²⁺와 1 K⁺를 4 Na⁺와 교환하여 빛과 어둠에 따라 눈의 칼슘 농도를 조절합니다.
또한 뉴런 시냅스 등 빠른 칼슘 변화가 일어나는 세포 위치에서도 칼슘 수준을 조절합니다.
NCKX2의 불활성화는 다양한 생리 조건에서 나트륨 및 칼슘 조절의 중요한 기전으로 알려져 있습니다.
