Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases, which are negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. This phosphatase dephosphorylates cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) and may play a role in cell cycle control. Overexpression can lead to cell-growth arrest or apoptosis.
