Cdc73는 전사 및 전사 후 조절 경로에 관여하는 종양 억제 단백질입니다. Cdc73는 PAF1 복합체의 일부로, Paf1, Cdc73, Leo1, Rtf1, Ctr9의 다섯 서브유닛으로 구성되어 있습니다.
PAF1 복합체는 RNA polymerase II와 관련되어 전사 신장 단계에서 기능하며, 활성 전사와 관련된 히스톤 마크 설정을 조정합니다. 또한 RNA 품질 관리와 세포 주기 조절(특히 cyclin D1/PRAD1 발현 조절)에 관여합니다.
