This antibody recognizes the C-terminal peptide sequence ESESQGPK (aa 441–448) of neuron-specific human betaIII-tubulin.
Target Information
The betaIII-tubulin isoform is predominantly expressed in cells of neuronal origin and serves as an early marker of neuronal differentiation. It is widely used as a specific probe for neuronal cells and tumors derived from them. BetaIII-tubulin is also found in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
