Target Information

Arginine methylation is an irreversible post-translational modification implicated in RNA processing, trafficking, receptor-mediated signaling, and transcription. At least three types of PRMT enzymes have been identified in mammalian cells, playing essential regulatory roles through methylation of key proteins involved in nuclear functions, signal transduction, apoptosis, and viral processes. The mammalian PRMT family consists of seven members sharing two large domains of homology, with antibodies developed against all seven PRMT members.
