Target Information
BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor)는 신경영양인자(neurotrophin) 계열의 단백질입니다. BDNF는 pre-proBDNF로 합성된 후 proBDNF로 절단되며, 이후 성숙형 14 kDa 단백질로 가공됩니다. pro-BDNF는 생물학적으로 활성 형태로 시냅스 소포에서 성숙형과 함께 분비됩니다.
BDNF는 중추신경계 전반에 발현되며, 여러 유형의 뉴런에서 자가분비 및 측분비 방식으로 작용합니다. 주요 수용체는 TrkB이며, 낮은 친화도의 p75-NTR 수용체에도 결합합니다.
BDNF는 신경세포의 생존 및 분화를 촉진하고, 기억 형성과 시냅스 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 알츠하이머병 및 헌팅턴병 환자에서 발현이 감소하며, 스트레스 반응 및 기분 장애의 생물학적 조절에도 관여합니다.
