GARS (Glycyl-tRNA synthetase)는 아미노산을 해당 tRNA에 결합시키는 아미노아실-tRNA 합성효소 중 하나로, (alpha)₂ 다이머 형태의 class II tRNA synthetase 계열 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 인간 자가면역질환인 다발근염(polymyositis) 또는 피부근염(dermatomyositis)에서 자가항체의 표적 단백질로 보고되었습니다.
