Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
To use this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Antizyme inhibitor (AZIN1) is a protein that positively regulates ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity and polyamine uptake.
AZI is an enzymatically inactive ODC homolog that counteracts the negative effects of ODC antizymes (OAZ1, OAZ2, OAZ3) by competing with ODC for antizyme-binding.
It inhibits antizyme-dependent ODC degradation and releases ODC monomers from inactive complexes, leading to formation of active ODC homodimers and restoration of polyamine production.
