Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. It plays a role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, and associates with B2 integrins CD11a and CD11b. The ligand for Ly-6G is currently unknown.
Unlike RB6-8C5, 1A8-Ly6g binds only to Ly-6G found on neutrophils and has been used to deplete neutrophils, showing antagonist activity.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells (≤0.25 µg/test). Optimal titration recommended.
Light Sensitivity: Protect from light; tandem dye sensitive to photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
Excitation: 488–561 nm
Emission: 775 nm

Target Information
Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D) is part of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1, together with Ly6C.

- Marker for peripheral neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes
- Correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation
- Involved in anti-tumor response and may inhibit local immune responses upon ligation
