This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Golgin subfamily A member 4 (GOLGA4).
Target Information
The Golgi apparatus participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway and consists of stacked cisternae. Interactions between the Golgi and microtubules are essential for Golgi reorganization during mitosis. The GOLGA4 gene encodes a member of the golgin family, proteins localized to the Golgi apparatus, and is implicated in Rab6-regulated membrane-tethering events. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
