Target Information
G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) contain seven transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins. GPCR GPR43 (also known as FFAR2) belongs to the carboxylic acid subfamily of GPCRs. Its expression is primarily observed in immune cells such as monocytes and neutrophils. An EST has been isolated from a human pancreatic library.
