Target Information

SGSH는 리소좀 내에서 헤파란 황산의 분해에 관여하는 여러 효소 중 하나입니다. 이 유전자에 돌연변이가 발생하면 Sanfilippo syndrome A로 알려진 리소좀 축적 질환인 mucopolysaccaridosis III의 한 형태가 나타나며, 이는 헤파란 황산의 분해 장애로부터 비롯됩니다. 다양한 크기의 전사체가 보고되었으나 그 생물학적 유효성은 아직 확인되지 않았습니다.
