Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 50 µL or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, prepare small aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
This gene encodes a hematopoeitin/interferon-class receptor belonging to the cytokine receptor superfamily.
The encoded protein represents the CNTF-specific alpha subunit of a heterotrimeric receptor complex, which also includes LIFR and gp130.
The receptor is membrane-anchored via a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage and contains an immunoglobulin-like C2-type domain and a fibronectin type-III domain.
Signal transduction requires CNTF binding to this alpha component, enabling recruitment of gp130 and LIFR beta to form the active tripartite complex.
This signaling promotes gene expression, cell survival, and differentiation in various neuronal cell types.
Alternative splicing produces two transcript variants encoding the same protein.
