Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Anti-Alkaline Phosphatase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion-exchange chromatography, followed by extensive dialysis against the specified buffer.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Alkaline Phosphatase [E.coli].
Cross-reactivity against Alkaline Phosphatase from other tissues and species may occur but has not been specifically determined. Minimal cross-reactivity has been reported when lysates of cell extracts overproducing E.coli proteins are probed.

Target Information

Alkaline phosphatase is a homodimeric enzyme (86 kDa) containing two zinc atoms per monomer, essential for catalytic function. It is optimally active at alkaline pH and is found in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes with conserved function but varying structural forms.
ALP plays a role in liver metabolism and skeletal development. In bacteria, it acts as a source of inorganic phosphate, and in yeast, it serves as a useful model for studying membrane protein sorting.
