Product Specific Information

The RA3-6B2 monoclonal antibody recognizes the exon A-restricted isoform of mouse CD45, a 220 kDa surface molecule. CD45R/B220 epitope is mainly expressed by B cell lineage from early Pro-B to mature B cells. Some activated T cells, lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells, NK cell progenitors, and certain mutant T cells also express this antigen.

  A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Optimal titration is recommended for specific assays.

Target Information

CD45R (PTPRC) is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family involved in regulating cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. It is expressed in hematopoietic cells and is essential for T- and B-cell receptor signaling. CD45 glycoprotein is crucial for lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains while sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. CD45 also modulates integrin-mediated signaling and apoptosis. Dysfunction is associated with immunodeficiency and hepatitis C.
