Product Specific Information
- Reconstitution:
Reconstitute with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double-distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g for 5 min).
Target Information
NMDAR2B (GluN2B) is a subunit of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) class of ionotropic glutamate receptors. These receptors are involved in long-term potentiation, a mechanism underlying learning and memory. NMDAR2B plays a role in neuronal development and is implicated in disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and ischemic neuronal cell death. Overexpression of NR2B enhances learning and memory, while reduced expression is linked to cognitive decline. Phosphorylation at Tyr1472 may increase synaptic expression, contributing to synaptic plasticity. Dysfunction of NMDAR2B is associated with epileptic encephalopathy and neurodevelopmental disorders.
