Antibody detects endogenous levels of GSK3 beta only when phosphorylated at Thr390.
Target Information
GSK3B is a proline-directed serine/threonine protein kinase involved in energy metabolism, neuronal cell development, and body pattern formation. It acts as a negative regulator of glucose homeostasis and participates in energy metabolism, inflammation, ER-stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and apoptotic pathways.
GSK3B is a critical component of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, inhibiting Wnt signaling by mediating β-catenin degradation. It is also involved in Hedgehog, Notch, and insulin signaling pathways.
