Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IFN-α/β R2, IFN-γ R1, and IFN-γ R2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Interferons are widely used therapeutic agents due to their antitumor, antiviral, and immunomodulatory effects (Biron, 2001; Kirkwood, 2002).
These cytokines exert their effects by binding to the Type I Interferon Receptor (IFNAR1).
Down-regulation of IFNAR1 influences the magnitude and duration of cytokine signaling, and is thought to be mediated by phosphorylation of Serine 535 and 539 (Kumar et al., 2003).
