For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

HFE2 is involved in iron metabolism and may participate in the signaling pathway activating hepcidin or modulating its expression. It could also act as a cellular receptor for hepcidin.
Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms. Mutations in this gene cause hemochromatosis type 2A (juvenile hemochromatosis, JH), an early-onset autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe iron overload, hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism, hepatic fibrosis or cirrhosis, and cardiomyopathy, typically occurring before age 30.
