Product Specific Information

Target Information
CCR4-NOT Transcription Complex 2 (CNOT2) is a component of the CCR4-NOT complex, a major cellular mRNA deadenylase involved in:
- Bulk mRNA degradation
- miRNA-mediated repression
- Translational repression during initiation
- General transcription regulation
CNOT2 is essential for the structural integrity of the CCR4-NOT complex and may link it to transcriptional repression via the N-Cor repressor complex (HDAC3, NCOR1, NCOR2).
It also plays a role in maintaining embryonic stem cell identity.
