Target Information
Granzyme B is a serine protease found in cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It mediates apoptosis in target cells through caspase activation and mitochondrial pathways. Granzyme B interacts with the mannose 6-phosphate receptor to induce cell death and is essential for immune cytotoxic activity. It is also known as CGL1 or CTLA-1 and is expressed only in activated cytotoxic lymphocytes.
