Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform additional desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The QPRT gene encodes a key enzyme involved in the catabolism of quinolinate, an intermediate in the tryptophan–nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide pathway.
Quinolinate is a potent endogenous excitotoxin to neurons. Elevated quinolinate levels are associated with neurodegenerative disorders such as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Huntington’s disease.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
