Glycoprotein VI (GP6)는 58-kD 혈소판막 당단백질로, 콜라겐에 의해 유도되는 혈소판 활성화와 응집 과정에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 혈관 손상 시 내피세포층이 손상되면, 노출된 기질에 혈소판이 부착되고 콜라겐 섬유(주로 I, III, VI형)가 혈소판 결합을 유도합니다. 이 과정은 초기 지혈 반응을 유도하지만, 죽상경화성 플라크가 파열될 경우 심근경색이나 뇌졸중과 같은 혈전 형성의 주요 원인이 될 수 있습니다.
